The Clark PTA

Carolyn Clark PTA Board Welcomes YOU

Dear Carolyn Clark Families,

The Carolyn Clark PTA Board would like to welcome you to the 2018-2019 academic year. We are proud that Carolyn Clark Elementary School was voted as a “California Distinguished School” by the State Department of Education- a distinction that stems from commitment to excellence on the part of teachers, staff, students and parents.

The success and growth of any child is dependent on parental involvement at home as well as in the school. One of the easiest ways to ensure this is by supporting the Carolyn Clark PTA. Our committed volunteers serving on the PTA Board will help parents and teachers work together to provide the best education and enrichment opportunities for the children, for they are the future of our community.

Being a member of the PTA gives you and your child a voice. The PTA, as an organization, advocates for all children, but the strongest voice of support that your child could have is yours. Getting involved and becoming a PTA member shows them you care about their education and well-being. Plus, there is no better way to find out what is happening at Carolyn Clark than supporting the PTA’s activities and volunteering in every little way you can. We strongly urge all members to attend the association meetings and participate in making decisions that will directly impact the enrichment activities that your child will benefit from before, during and after-school. By participating as a PTA member, you can rest assured that your voice will be heard and your vote counted. Our association meetings are listed on our website:

Last year the PTA funded the following initiatives: Computer Logic / Computer Science classes for all grade levels, Enrichment classes (Dance / Sign Language / Mad Science based on teacher preference) for all grade levels, Homework folders and agendas for every student, Arts Attack, ABC Reading, Science Night, Lunar New Year Celebration, Bollywood Night, Book Fair, and PTA Reflections Contest to mention a few. This year, we plan to increase our involvement in the school to build an even stronger community. We plan to support all the programs listed above and more.

A number of Clark parents requested that the PTA board initiate a flat donation drive at the beginning of the school year – an approach that has worked for several schools! Our suggested donation amount is $100 per family and your donation to the Carolyn Clark PTA is tax deductible.

We are always looking for fresh ideas and would love to hear from you. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us, using the information listed on our website  or email Arthi Aiyappan (PTA President) at
