This month your student will hear a book titled Friends to the End for Kids in class as part of the ABC program. Please watch for a letter from your classroom or ABC parent volunteer(s) for more information about this lesson. The goals of this lesson are:

To help all students learn how to respect each other and develop interpersonal skills for getting along with each other.
To have students explore ways to be kind to each other, make and keep friends, and be UPstanders in the online and in our face-to-face world.

Here are some activities you can do at home to help achieve these goals:

1. Have the students interview a parent, grandparent, relative or neighbor to learn about long-term friendships.

2. Have the students make and deliver a Fuzzy Gram to a caring adult at home.

3. Encourage adults at home to have frequent conversations about the caring adults in the lives of youth. Identify who they are at school, in the neighborhood, in the family.
